India clinched a thrilling five-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup final yesterday, completing a clean sweep with three wins over their arch-rivals in the tournament.

However, they made headlines off the pitch by refusing to accept the trophy from Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi.

The presentation in Dubai was delayed over an hour before being cut short, as Indian players declined to receive the trophy from Naqvi, who also chairs the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The BCCI said it will file a protest with the ICC, citing rising political tensions.
