Several Hindus are expected to participate in the holy bath, known as Kartik Snaan, this weekend.

The sacred Hindu ritual, which culminates on Kartik Purnima or full moon, marks a path to inner peace and spiritual growth.

103.1FM’s Pundit Narad Gosine says the month of Kartik honours Lord Vishnu and encourages discipline, purification, and personal reflection.

The snaan or bath is believed to cleanse negative karma, ward off evil, and advance spiritual progress, similar to a dip in the sacred Ganga.

He added the ritual also honours Ganga Devi and reminds devotees to avoid polluting the environment and properly dispose of non-biodegradable materials.
