On World AIDS Day 2025, the Ministry of Health reaffirmed its commitment to ending AIDS as a public health threat in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry highlighted efforts to strengthen the national HIV response, including early diagnosis, expanded prevention programs, reducing stigma, and supporting treatment adherence.
Initiatives such as HIV self-testing, free antiretroviral therapy, and viral load monitoring continue to be offered, while plans for 2026 include expanding community-based testing and ensuring rapid treatment initiation.
The Ministry urged citizens, stakeholders, and community leaders to join efforts in creating a stigma-free society where everyone can access care with dignity.
