The government will go to the Parliament on Friday to further extend the State of Emergency, which is due to come to an end today.
Speaking last evening on the Crime Watch programme, the Prime Minister said the Commissioner of Police recommended the extension to the Attorney General and the National Security Council.
She also said she was happy with the results of the SoE so far, given that there has been a drop in murders as of yesterday, compared to the same period in 2024.
