St Augustine Member of Parliament and government minister Khadijah Ameen received a courtesy call from former MP Dr John Bharath.
Dr Bharath, who is now 99, met with Ms Ameen and reportedly reminisced with staff, and fellow constituents.
He was elected Member of Parliament for St Augustine in 1966 under a Democratic Labour Party ticket.
Dr Bharath also served as a Temporary Government Senator during the 5th Republican Parliament.
