Former Energy Minister Stuart Young is asking the Government what was promised to secure the new Dragon Gas deal.
Mr Young, who led efforts to secure the original 30-year license and previous OFAC approvals, said the public deserves answers.
In a Facebook post, he urged the Government to be transparent about the terms of what he called a “six-month provisional OFAC license.”
This included whether Shell and NGC can legally pay Venezuela for its gas.
He criticized the Government’s silence, noting that when in Opposition, they demanded full disclosure, however now in power, he said they cite “confidentiality.”
