Opposition MP Nyan Gadsby-Dolly has concerns about governance in the education sector, saying that lack of consultation is creating hardship for students and parents.
She referred to the recently concluded Schools Panorama competition, noting that poor collaboration with stakeholders led to two separate competitions being held.
In addition, Gadsby-Dolly said the re-emergence of controversy surrounding the school hair code saying under her stewardship a national hair policy was introduced in 2023 through consultation.
She said the policy then balanced fairness with school autonomy.
