There have been reports of flooding in parts of north and east Trinidad this morning due to persistent rainfall.
Rising waters were reported in Port of Spain, Tunapuna, and Sangre Grande.
Meanwhile in Tobago, gusty winds toppled an electricity line in the vicinity of Hope Anglican Primary School.
The Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) says this led to a traffic disruption, with the relevant authorities since notified of the issue.
Meanwhile a yellow level adverse weather alert remains in place for T&T until 9pm today.
In an update, the Met Service says unsettled conditions are ongoing across various parts of both islands, with gusts in excess of 55 km/hr already experienced in Tobago.
These conditions are expected to continue, with occasional showers and periods of rain of varying intensities throughout the period.
The TTMS adds that while the most impactful weather is expected within the period of its advisory, showery spells are still forecast after the timeframe.
