The Equal Opportunity Tribunal says the major principles that guide it are echoed in the celebration of Diviali.
Madame Justine Donna Prowell-Raphael said in her Divali message that the principles of societal enlightenment and equality guide the Tribunal’s deliberation.
The Chairperson and Judge of the Tribunal added that as the Tribunal works to build a just and inclusive society, the lights of Divali will enlighten our hearts and guide us towards a future filled with peace, understanding, and joy.
“In moments when narratives can sometimes fuel division and uncertainty, the spirit of Divali gently reminds us of our shared humanity. It challenges us to seek understanding and unity, to rise above discord, and to illuminate our path forward with hope and mutual respect,” Justice Prowell-Raphael stated.
Divali will be celebrated in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday.
