Eight suspects have been arrested during anti-crime operations in Mayaro and Fyzabad on Tuesday.
Also found was an undisclosed quantity of narcotics and illegal ammunition.
During joint police exercises in Mayaro, six suspects were arrested for various offences including, malicious wounding, use of obscene language and possession of ammunition.
Meanwhile in Fyzabad, two persons were arrested in separate incidents for the possession of cannabis.
