A pedestrian was killed this morning while attempting to cross the Beetham Highway near the flyover just before the NP Headquarters.
A video captured by the driver’s dash-cam shows the pedestrian stepping from the median into the path of oncoming vehicles travelling east.
One driver swerved in an attempt to avoid the man, who was subsequently struck by another vehicle.
According to a report by the T&T Express, the driver pulled over immediately after the impact and while emergency responders were alerted, the pedestrian died at the scene.
