The Couva/Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce wants government to give a clear statement on the property tax legislation in its 2025/2026 Budget Presentation.
The Chamber’s 1st Vice-President, Amit Dass, told 103.1FM news he wants the controversial legislation removed from the law books.
Mr Dass said government should also launch an infrastructure development program in the Couva, which has been neglected for the past 10 years.
The Chamber is pleading with government not to introduce any new taxes and is also eager to hear their plans for agriculture.
