Twelve Venezuelan nationals are facing charges of illegal entry into the country, following the interception of a vessel off the Icacos Coast on August 13th.
The vessel, carrying six males, six females, and eight children, was also found with 32 buckets of cheese, 14 bullfinch birds, and meat supplies.
The Coast Guard detained the immigrants, while the children were released to relatives.
One male immigrant faces additional charges for violating bird-keeping regulations.
