Caribbean Airlines has discontinued its “Caribbean Café” buy-on-board service, until further notice, as part of efforts to reduce operating costs.
Guardian Media reported that the announcement came via an internal email to staff on January 1st.
The change, will not affect complimentary meals or snacks, as it will still be served on select routes.
Caribbean Café gave passengers, on select routes, the chance to purchase branded merchandise and locally made products from Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica during their flight.
In a recent statement, CAL’s Acting CEO, Nirmala Ramai said consistent actions taken by employees are essential to advancing the airline’s sustainability goals and building a resilient future.
