world day of remembrance for road traffic victims

Arrive Alive observed World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims with a 5km walk and ride on Sunday at the Queen’s Park Savannah.

Sharon Inglefield, president of Arrive Alive, said remembrance is not enough, we need to support the survivors who must live with lifelong trauma, and act urgently to prevent future tragedies.

Transport Minister, Eli Zakour, said his ministry continues to pursue a comprehensive, data-driven approach to road safety.

Yarin Gosine won the men’s 5k in 19 minutes 8 seconds, while Shari Thomas took the female category in 21 minutes 24 seconds.
