Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen was on the ground in the early hours of Ash Wednesday overseeing post-Carnival sanitation and restoration efforts.
Minister Ameen began inspections around 2am at South Quay in Port of Spain, before moving on to St James at approximately 2:30am.
The clean-up was carried out under the National Programme for Upkeep of Public Spaces, a pilot initiative aimed at the strategic restoration of high-traffic areas following major events.
