Agriculture Minister Ravi Ratiram says the Government is stepping up efforts to ensure food safety and sustainable farming in the country.
Speaking at a CABI regional consultation yesterday, he announced the launch of Maximum Residue Limit testing for pesticide residues and the introduction of Novacrid, a bio-pesticide for locust control.
The Minister added that stakeholder partnerships are essential for the continued implementation of solutions to protect and support the sustainable transformation of food systems.
