Chasing 183 for victory, West Indies lapsed to 54 for 5 before Matthew Forde’s 52 not out gave their total some respectability.
Afghanistan put on 90 for the first wicket with Ibrahim Zadran scoring 51 to total 182 for 7 in their 20 overs.
West Indies open their T20 World Cup campaign against Scotland on Saturday.
