76 persons have been victims to road traffic fatalities for the year so far, as compared to 74 for the same period in 2024.
Sargeant Brent Batson, the lead coordinator for the TTPS Strategic Road Safety Project confirmed this figure with 103.1FM News this morning.
He indicated reports have been received for the three separate accidents in which four people died yesterday.
One man died in an early morning crash involving a maxi taxi along the Southern Main Road, Warrenville, while, two others died after a PTSC bus collided with a truck on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway near Freeport.
The latest road fatality was recorded last evening when a 19-year-old driver lost his life in a crash on the Beetham Highway.
Highlighting the fragility of human life, he reminded road users that safe journeys require responsible road use.
