The 5th annual Meeting of States of the Caribbean Firearms Roadmap opened on Tuesday morning at the Hilton Trinidad.
The meeting aims to assess progress and define strategy in combating illegal firearms trafficking and strengthening public safety and security in the Caribbean region.
Ministers, senior government officials, law enforcement leaders, and international partners from across the Caribbean have attended the meeting.
Mr. Videsh Maharaj, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Homeland Security delivered the opening remarks on Tuesday.
