$30k bail for security who denied police entry into gated community

A security officers who denied police entry into a gated community, has been granted bail for a charge of obstructing officers in the execution of their duty.

29-year-old Tisha Badal appeared before Justice of the Peace, Marilyn Martin today and was granted $30,000 bail.

She is expected to re-appear at the Arima High Court North on March 11th 2026.

Another security officer was allowed to leave pending further investigations.

On March 6th 2026, officers responding to report of a home invasion at East Lake in Arima were denied entry to the compound by private security, despite producing their TTPS ID.

They were granted access after a significant period of time had elapsed, but by then, the perpetrators had escaped.

The victim was said to have been physically assaulted and robbed by two men who forcefully entered her home.
