FIFA and YouTube have reached a deal to live-stream the first 10 minutes of 2026 World Cup matches, giving fans a free digital preview.
In a release today, FIFA described the partnership as “game-changing,” as it aims to attract younger viewers to then watch full coverage on traditional television.
FIFA said broadcasters will also be able to stream a select number of matches in full on their YouTube channels, while promoting where to watch the rest of the tournament.
This partnership will also allow partners to share extended highlights, behind-the-scenes clips, Shorts, and on-demand videos on YouTube, helping them reach wider audiences and boost engagement.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
