The Greater Tunapuna Chamber of Industry and Commerce has welcomed the Government’s National Budget.
Chamber President Ramon Gregorio praised measures promoting tax reform, digital transformation, and job creation, and said the reduction in fuel prices and revival of the energy sector could help restore confidence.
However, the Chamber is urging support for small and medium enterprises, calling for more direct funding, better foreign exchange access, and consultation on VAT reform.
Gregorio stressed that “accountability must be matched by delivery,” and said business competitiveness and crime reduction remain key to sustainable growth.
The GTCIC says it stands ready to partner with government and the private sector to ensure reforms lead to real benefits for businesses and consumers.
