Former Energy Minister Stuart Young has expressed concern over the future of T&T’s energy and industrial sector, particularly at the Pt Lisas estate, which hosts global energy giants like Nutrien.
In a social media video posted today, he outlined what could make T&T less competitive.
Mr Young warned of other impending consequences if companies like Nutrien shut down their plants.
Mr Young urged the Government to adopt a balanced approach to avoid driving away these key industries.
He added that a push for more strategic negotiations and actions are necessary to ensure Trinidad and Tobago remains competitive in the global energy market.
