The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has issued a Yellow Level High Wind Alert effective from 9:05 a.m. today, continuing until 12:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Authorities warn that strong low-level winds are expected to produce gusts exceeding 55 kilometers per hour, particularly near rainfall showers. Tobago is predicted to experience the strongest impacts, with Trinidad seeing moderate but notable windy conditions.
Residents are urged to secure loose outdoor objects, roofs, and livestock, as well as to take precautions around weak structures that may be vulnerable to gusts.
Sea conditions are expected to become rough, and marine activities could be disrupted.
Boaters and beachgoers should follow lifeguard instructions and monitor official updates.
