A Yellow Level Hazardous Seas Alert will be in effect from 8AM tomorrow until 4 PM on Thursday.
The T&T Met Service has advised that long-period northerly swells are expected to impact the northern nearshore areas of both Trinidad and Tobago.
As a result, larger-than-normal breakers in the surf zone could disrupt daily marine activities, including fishing and recreational pursuits.
These impacts will NOT be continuous, and they will not affect all coastal zones or persist throughout the entire advisory period.
Therefore, all marine interests should closely monitor nearshore and coastal sea conditions, exercise caution in the identified areas, restrict nearshore marine activities, avoid swimming in the sea during this period.
