Cricket West Indies (CWI) has confirmed that all players and members of the Team Management Unit (TMU) from the West Indies Men’s squad at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India have returned home safely.

The announcement comes after challenges arose due to cancellations of chartered flights arranged by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Commercial travel was successfully secured earlier this week, allowing the final group of players and support staff to complete their journeys over the past several days.

In a statement, Cricket West Indies extended its appreciation to the ICC, regional cricket boards, and other stakeholders who helped facilitate the safe return of the team.

“The well-being and safety of our players and staff remain paramount, and we are grateful that the matter has now been brought to a safe and satisfactory conclusion,” the statement read.

Fans of West Indies cricket have also been acknowledged for their concern and support during the travel difficulties, which were resolved without incident.

Cricket West Indies, the governing body for cricket across the English-speaking Caribbean, continues to oversee and support all professional and amateur cricket, including the men’s, women’s, and age-group teams, as well as regional tournaments such as the West Indies Championship and CG United Super50 Cup.
