Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez has signed a sweeping Amnesty Law aimed at promoting national reconciliation.
The legislation, approved unanimously by the National Assembly of Venezuela, grants amnesty for certain political offences committed between 1999 and January 2026.
Rodríguez says the measure is intended to heal divisions and restore peaceful coexistence.
A special multi-party commission will now oversee implementation of the new law.
