In the aftermath of Typhoon Kalmaegi, known locally as Tino, the United States is stepping up support for Philippine-led relief operations.

Washington has pledged $1 million in immediate life-saving assistance, providing emergency shelter, clean water, sanitation, and logistics services to the hardest-hit communities.

Many areas are still recovering from recent storms and the Cebu earthquake in September.

U.S. officials say the effort underscores the strong friendship and shared values between both nations.

With another severe storm on the horizon, American aid teams continue to coordinate closely with Philippine authorities to deliver swift and effective relief.
