The Communication Workers Union is raising concerns about governance and appointments involving National Enterprises Limited and Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago.
The union says recent developments between the two state-linked companies raise questions about transparency, oversight and the perception of independence.
The CWU also pointed to the appointment of Kern Dass, chairman of TSTT, to roles connected with NEL, saying overlapping positions could affect public confidence in decision-making.
The union is now calling for greater clarity on the criteria used in selecting board members and other appointments.
