Police in the Central Division are reporting major breakthroughs following an intelligence-led anti-crime sweep dubbed Operation Festive Shield.
Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, officers carried out targeted searches across drug blocks and the homes of priority offenders.
Two men were arrested—one for cocaine trafficking near a school, and another in connection with outstanding enquiries in the Freeport district.
At Claxton Bay, officers seized 74 grams of marijuana, and later recovered a Browning .22 pistol and six rounds of ammunition after a suspect fled into nearby mangroves.
The TTPS says Operation Festive Shield will continue as they work to suppress crime and remove illegal guns from communities.
