Twenty-eight secondary school students from across Trinidad and Tobago have been awarded the 2025 Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship.

At Tuesday’s ceremony, Minister of Education Dr. Michael Dowlath praised the initiative for enabling students to study at world-class institutions and encouraged recipients to use the opportunity to strengthen their academic journeys.

Chinese Ambassador Ren Hongyan highlighted education as a key pillar of the bilateral partnership, telling students, “You are the future and the hope of Trinidad and Tobago.”

Since its launch in 2022, over ninety students have benefited from the scholarship programme, which continues to support academic excellence and nation-building.
