TTPS Weekend Operations Net Multiple Arrests, Illegal Immigrants, and Ammunition Seizures

Police have arrested several suspects and seized narcotics and ammunition following two major anti-crime operations over the weekend.

In the Western Division, Operation Trident led to three arrests in Cocorite. Officers recovered 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition after an 18-year-old tried to discard a bag.

Two other men were detained after cocaine and cannabis were found during searches under Emergency Powers Regulations.

And in Curepe, a joint exercise involving multiple TTPS units and the Defence Force resulted in the detention of 28 illegal immigrants.

Officers also discovered 100 rounds of 9mm ammunition hidden in a crate.
