The TTPS says it is ready for tonight’s World Cup qualifier at the Hasley Crawford Stadium.

T&T will face off against Curacao from 8pm at the Port of Spain venue.

ACP Garvin Henry who is the Gold Commander for the event, says certain traffic management and security measures are in place.

Police officers and traffic wardens will be positioned “along the roadway at key intersections from the Sea Lots traffic lights, Beetham Highway, continuing along Wrightson Road and along the Audrey Jeffers Highway up to the traffic lights by the Cocorite Fish Depot.”

No parking will be permitted along Wrightson Road, Maraval Parkway, or the Audrey Jeffers Highway.

Instead, parking will be available at Mucurapo East and West Secondary, Sound Forge, the Police Training Academy, and Nelson Mandela Park.

ACP Henry said there will be a zero tolerance approach for indiscriminate parking for the event, and warned that wrecking operations will be in practice.

Wrecked vehicles will be taken to the Oval and not QRC as previously announced.

He also assured of a heightened police presence at and around the venue, including St James and Woodbrook.
