Police have made several arrests and seized firearms, ammunition and cannabis during a series of intelligence-led operations across Trinidad under Operation Festive Shield and other anti-crime initiatives.
In Mt. Dor, officers found a shotgun and cartridges hidden in a ceiling, arresting a 33-year-old man. A separate exercise in St. Helena uncovered a revolver and .38 round.
Southern Division operations led to four arrests, including suspects held with cannabis plants and processed marijuana.
And in Princes Town, officers seized over 20 grams of cocaine and detained a Venezuelan national who is believed to have escaped custody earlier this year.
