The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is stepping up efforts to keep businesses and shoppers safe during the festive season.

On Wednesday, Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro, along with Deputy Commissioner Suzette Martin, met with leaders of national business associations to discuss strategies for enhanced security and public confidence.

The high-level meeting focused on coordinated patrols, high-visibility policing, intelligence sharing, and rapid-response support in commercial districts.

Key initiatives include Operation Festive Shield, increased foot and mobile patrols, and strengthened CCTV monitoring.

Business leaders welcomed the proactive approach, pledging to improve internal security and collaborate with the TTPS.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to protecting citizens, staff, and customers while supporting a safe business environment nationwide.
