Residents of Cumuto can breathe a sigh of relief after a fallen tree blocked Bedes Buxo Road off Bonair Road earlier today.
The Sangre Grande Regional Corporation’s Disaster Management Unit, working with the Four Roads Tamana Team from the Technical Department, responded promptly to the incident.
The teams worked to remove the tree and clear the roadway, ensuring that residents could safely return home.
“This is more than just cutting a tree,” said a spokesperson for the Regional Corporation. “It’s about keeping our community safe and making sure families can get home without risk.”
The Regional Corporation stated that thanks to the swift action of the disaster management and technical teams, the road is now fully cleared, restoring safe access for vehicles and pedestrians and allowing the community to continue with their daily routines.
