The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has officially launched the Traffic Warden Priority Bus Route Compliance Unit, strengthening enforcement and improving traffic management along the PBR.
At the launch ceremony in Port of Spain, Transport Minister Eli Zakour said the Unit will begin full operations on December 15th, providing dedicated, on-the-ground monitoring at key points to ensure only authorised vehicles access the route.
Permanent Secretary Nicolette Duke and senior officials praised the move, noting it will support smoother transit operations and reinforce national traffic regulations as part of the Ministry’s wider transportation upgrade.
