Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro is sending a strong warning, any attempts to smuggle contraband into the nation’s prisons will be met with the full force of the law.
He says police remain committed to working with law enforcement partners to safeguard prison security against outside threats.
His comments follow the arrest of a Morvant man, charged with throwing contraband into the Fredrick Street Prison on four separate occasions.
The suspect was granted $250,000 bail and must report to the Morvant Police Station twice a week.
