The Top Cop is dismissing what he says are conspiracy theories regarding files damaged during an incident at the Police Service Headquarters yesterday.
Power outages caused a fire suppression system failure, which in turn led to a water rupture that damaged a number of documents, including Firearm User Licence Applications.
Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro insists the damage to FUL files in particular was minimal.
According to the Commissioner, the building itself has been experiencing electrical issues for quite some time, with a full shutdown on Sunday to allow T&TEC to do much needed work.
He assured however that steps will be taken to ensure reliable service.
