Top officials from the Ministry of Energy have given the comment to advance the cause of allowing royalties accrued in Tobago to remain and benefit the island’s economy.
Last week, Ministry and THA officials met on critical matters geared at advancing Tobago’s development.
The THA said the Ministry is in full support of the Scarborough Redevelopment Project.
Therefore, the Ministry will facilitate discussions with respect to the transition of natural gas from the Cove Industrial Estate to the Scarborough Port.
The Ministry also said it will consider making the THA the licensing authority for quarrying in Tobago.
And, advanced talks are coming to expedite Export Licenses for Studley Park Quarry.
