THA Strengthens Partnership with Habitat for Humanity on Housing and Disaster Preparedness

The Tobago House of Assembly says it continues to prioritize development through strong stakeholder engagement.

On Wednesday, February 4th, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, alongside Assembly Member Ricky Joefield, Secretary of Housing, Settlements and Public Utilities, met with leaders of Habitat for Humanity to review ongoing projects and discuss new initiatives.

Representing Habitat for Humanity were Ernesto Castro-Garcia, Area Vice President; Derwin Howell, Board President; and Jennifer Massiah, National Director.

Discussions focused on current collaborative efforts and potential future projects, with particular emphasis on advocacy and disaster risk reduction across Tobago.

The THA reaffirmed its commitment to fostering partnerships that support sustainable housing, community development, and resilience-building for the island’s residents.
