The Tobago House of Assembly is partnering with the Airport Authority to bring the ANR Robinson International Airport to its final stage of completion.

Chief Secretary Farley Augustine described the new terminal as a “beautiful shell,” noting that while the structure is impressive, there is still significant work to be done before it is fully operational.

“Essentially what we have there right now is a shell—a beautiful shell nonetheless—and that requires that there be certain build-out,” he said.

“It also requires that concessionaries go into the space and start building out their assets and the areas from which they will provide their services.”

Located in Crown Point, Tobago, the airport has undergone major redevelopment including the construction of a new modern terminal designed to increase capacity and efficiency.

The new facility spans 25,500 square meters, with nine departure games, advanced check-in systems, VIP lounges and expanded parking.

Formerly the Crown Point International Airport, the facility was renamed in 2011 after Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson, the former Prime Minister and President of Trinidad and Tobago.
