Opposition Senator Dr Amery Browne has confirmed that an individual is currently in police custody in connection with death threats made against him and his family.
Responding to 103.1FM News, Dr Browne said he was informed by the the TTPS, however he did not provide further details on the matter, which is currently under active investigation.
Last Saturday, Dr Browne posted screenshots to his Facebook page about threats made against his life.
In the post, he said that he made a report to police and described the incident as the most serious threat he has faced in nearly two decades of political life.
