Trinidad and Tobago’s men’s senior team are due to depart on Thursday to take on Bolivia in an international friendly on Sunday.
The national team trained up to Wednesday at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium before departing for Bolivia.
Interim head coach Derek took over from Dwight Yorke last week, after the former Manchester United striker’s contract was cancelled by mutual agreement.
King is hoping to steady the ship amidst ongoing uncertainly surrounding the program.
“We want to build on the foundation that Dwight Yorke started. Our job is to keep moving forward regardless of administrative issues,” he said.
The 23-man squad features 14 players who are 25 years or younger, with eight under the age of 20.
Joevin Jones has been recalled to the squad that includes his half-brother Alvin Jones.
King has brought in former national team head coach Hutson Charles to his technical staff.
T&T will take on Bolivia from 6:30pm on Sunday.
