The funeral for Senator Deoroop Teemal will take place on Wednesday at the NCIC Divali Nagar in Chaguanas.
It will begin at 9am and will be followed by cremation at the Caroni Cremation site.
In addition to serving as an Independent Senator since 2018, Mr Teemal was also President of the National Council of Indian Culture.
He passed away on Sunday at the age of 68.
