Marcus Scott, Shekinah Surju and Marsha Walker are no longer on the NTA’s Governance Team and executive.
A statement shared on the party’s Facebook page says, “Their views posted on social media are not a reflection of the party’s policy and are the personal opinions of these individuals. For some time now these individuals have been posting on social media grossly critiquing the present administration which may be misconstrued as the NTA’s position.”
It also went on to distance itself from any posts made by the three.
However, Mr Scott has since taken to social media to dispute the claims.
He contends that he was not removed, but instead submitted his resignation to the party on August 7th.
He also goes on to insist that he has not posted grossly negative content about the Government, as he believes time is needed for it to settle into office.
Instead, Mr Scott shared screenshots from the party’s interim leader, Norman Dindial, accusing him of “psychological projection” and using social media to attack the new administration.
Ms Sirju meanwhile released a statement several days ago announcing her resignation as well on August 7th.
She also cited concerns with recent comments made by Mr Dindial, as well as her perception that the party itself has made no progress since the General Election.
