A revised start date has been announced for migrant registration, now set for Monday, January 26th, 2026.
Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander said yesterday that the process would begin after Carnival, but the Ministry says the earlier date will give applicants more time to complete registration.
Online registration under the 2026 Migrant Registration Framework will run until February 25th, followed by mandatory in-person verification, including fingerprinting, background checks, and health screenings.
A $700 registration fee applies, and approved migrants will be authorized to live and work in Trinidad and Tobago until December 31st, 2026.
Failure to register may result in deportation.
Physical vetting will occur at designated sporting venues nationwide, including Hasely Crawford, Larry Gomes, Ato Boldon, and Dwight Yorke stadiums, with the exact start date yet to be announced.
