An inmate was swiftly recaptured after he escaped from the Port of Spain Prison this morning.
In a release today, the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service said inmate Travis Curtis scaled the western perimeter wall around 10AM.
However, he was quickly apprehended just 18 minutes later near Abercromby Street, by Prison Officers and the Emergency Response Unit.
Police are investigating and will determine if further charges will be laid for escaping lawful custody.
