The Opposition is demanding answers after reports revealed that Homeland Security Minister, Roger Alexander, allegedly met with gang leaders.
A release, from the PNM issued yesterday, said the meetings allegedly took place at a State Prison, before and after the last general election.
The PNM is calling for an immediate independent investigation, a statement from the Prime Minister, and clarification from the Commissioner of Police on whether the TTPS has received any such report.
The Party said the Minister Alexander’s aversion to the matter is deeply troubling and warned that public confidence in national institutions is at stake.
In a Facebook post, similiar calls were also echoed by Opposition Chief Whip Marvin Gonzales.
